Child safety
Every child safe, every session.
Elite Athlete Academy is committed to the safety and wellbeing of every child who trains with us. We have zero tolerance for child abuse.
What we do
- Working With Children Checks. Every coach holds a current Working With Children Check.
- First aid and CPR at every session. There is always a coach on court trained in first aid and CPR, with HLTAID012, Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting.
- Supervision. A coach is on court for every session, at every tier.
- Photos and names. We only publish photos or names of children with a parent's permission.
Every child is welcome
We welcome children of every background, culture, ability and gender, and we respect the cultural safety of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children. We treat every child equally, while recognising that every child is different.
Speaking up
Children and families can raise any concern with us, big or small, and we will listen. We take every concern seriously, respond promptly, keep it as confidential as we can, and report to the relevant authorities where required.
Children can tell any coach they trust. Parents can speak to a head coach at training or contact us using the details on this page.
Our commitment
This statement is guided by the Victorian Child Safe Standards. We review how we keep children safe as the academy grows, and we welcome feedback from families.
