Can complete beginners join?
Absolutely. Beginners are exactly who our junior programs are built for. Your free skills assessment lets our coaches see your child's level and place them in the right group.
What age can my child start?
From age 6. Rookie Rally is a relaxed Saturday social for first-timers, and Rising Athletes is for ages 7 to 16, grouped by age and level so your child trains alongside similar players. Adults of all levels are welcome too.
Do you supply equipment?
We supply equipment for juniors. As they progress we recommend their own racquet and non-marking indoor badminton shoes, and our coaches can advise on the right gear.
What should we bring to a first session?
Comfortable activewear, non-marking indoor sports shoes and a water bottle. A racquet if you have one, but there's no need to buy one to start.
What happens after the free skills assessment?
There's no obligation. If it's a good fit, your coach will recommend the right program on the day, and you can continue with one of our flexible packages, which we'll help you set up there and then. Prefer to think it over? No pressure at all.
How much does it cost?
Sessions start from $25, and we offer discounted packages when you book multiple sessions. All flexible, with no lock-in contracts. Your first skills assessment is always free.
Where are you located?
Stormers Ravenhall, 11 Waigani Avenue, Ravenhall VIC 3023. Fully indoors, with parking on site. See the map.
My child is already competitive. Is that catered for?
Yes. Our Junior and Senior High Performance programs (entry by assessment) are built for serious competitors, with national-level coaching and a clear competitive pathway.
How do you keep children safe?
Every coach holds a current Working With Children Check, a coach trained in first aid and CPR is on court at every session, and a coach supervises every court. Read our child safety statement.
